We are offering for sale a US Springfield MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR rifle chambered in .45/70 Govt caliber. This rifle remains in Very Good to Excellent condition with crisp markings, case colors and clean bore.
32.5" barrel is very good with blued finish having a slight brown hue. The bore is clean with light freckling; Crisp rifling. Sidelock is good with blued finish scattered with light freckling. Trapdoor shows brilliant case colors. Gun functions flawlessly. The original stock is very good without breaks or cracks; Crisp cartouch marking in left side dated "1889". Buttplate shows scattered wear, blue loss.
