Description: Overview A living legend. For 50 years, the Browning Citori has been revered by hunters and target shooters alike, ranking among the most demanding, most reliable, best handling, and most beautiful over and under shotguns available. None of these accolades come as a surprise, however, as the foundation of the Citori is the Superposed, designed by John M. Browning – a man widely regarded as the most significant gun designer in history.   Although not the first over-and-under shotgun, the Superposed was the first commercially successful model. John M. Browning was a shotgun enthusiast and imagined the Superposed with the notion that a single sighting plane and single, selective trigger would prove superior to other twin-barrel shotguns of the era. In addition, it was designed to be more reliable and attainable than other over/under models. Unfortunately, Mr. Browning would not live to see the Superposed to fruition, passing away in 1926 before he could complete work on his vision.   It's a modern twist on a perennial favorite. The new Citori Composite is a direct descendant of the Superposed, retaining the strong foundation and benefiting from changes that ease manufacturing and enhance styling to meet users' evolving needs and tastes. It effectively blends this superior shotgun's rugged dependability with the composite's toughness and versatility.
