S O L D .........SEE MY OTHER...Colt Single Action Army revolvers......
and mounting replaced two-piece wa.45 LC. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 53189. (Mfg. ca1880) Nickel plated refinish overall including hammer with blued trigger and screws, lnut grips. Single-action six shot loading gate revolver featuring a black powder frame. The barrel has been struck with the last four digits of the serial number, but was produced with smokeless powder rifling and shows the barrel address COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. without dashes, indicating it to be a replacement barrel with the numbers added afterward. The cylinder likewise shows serial number marks applied by the restorer, but the {Rampant Colt} logo to the rear face further indicates it, too is replaced. The left frame shows the three patents in three lines. Loading gate shows the assembly number 13, and the hammer mounts a pinned conical firing pin. The grip panels are both pencil numbered 3189, but are of modern manufacture.
Fine as Restored. The nickel finish is lightly thinning on top of the frame with copper colored discolorations forming. Further discolored spots to the right side of the ejector rod housing mount. The nickel finish displays scattered light scratches, along with some pinpoint pitting that has been filled in on the forward frame. Bluing on the screw heads has begun to wear down with some flecks of patina forming. Grip panels fit with some gaps just behind the frame, but show few mars. The action times and indexes correctly.
