PRAIRIE I ( March 17,1988) PRAIRIE 2 (June 22,1986) Jean Tanazacq is one of the most illustrious French cutlery artisans. His productions all exude a very strong personality, superb ergonomics, and they are closer to a piece of art than a knife.
This model comes in two blade lengths 8-5/8" for the PRAIRIE 1 and 7-1/8" for its companion. Both knives are constructed and made from 1/4 " 440C  steel stock, reinforced tip  with a mirror polished blade. The solid brass pommel has two opening to tie up security laces, while both knives comes with a double brass guard for hand protection., rare thumb notches on top and bottom of balde on one model. Extra heavy-duty leather scabbard of the highest quality,( very few US makers offers such constructed leather scabbards today, that are very thick in their final manufacture, if not none). Buyer pays shipping USPS with tracking # U.S.A. only. Can be had separately if desired... Superb set of two hunting knives Jean TANAZACQ model Prairie 1 & 2. Like new, chocolate leather cases.The knives and scabbard was made by Jean Tanazacq in the Ardennes in 1988. Both blades are stamped with the wild boar emblem of the Ardennes , one with map of France. No trade.
