We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The M&P 22 Magnum is one of Smith & Wesson’s newest pistol models. It is intended as a rimfire counterpart to their M&P 5.7 pistol, which is chambered for the centerfire 5.7x28. As 22 Magnum is much cheaper than the 5.7, this makes sense. It another sense, the M&P 22 Magnum is Smith & Wesson’s answer to the Kel-Tec PMR-30. Chambered for the classic .22 Magnum aka .22 WMR, this pistol uses the locked-breech TEMPO™ barrel system wherein the breach end of the barrel rotates but doesn’t cam open until the bullet passes a gas port. Despite its appearance, the M&P 22 Magnum is not a striker fired handgun, but instead makes use of an internal hammer, similar to the Ruger Mark series of pistols. The pistol has a flat-face trigger which allows for consistent finger placement, providing for more accurate shooting. The slide top is cut for the mounting of an optic that uses the Shield RMSc footprint. The magazine release is reversible, and the slide stop and safety are ambidextrous. The barrel is 4.35 inches in length. The bore uses a 1:10 inches twist rate with 6 grooves, compared to the 8 grooves and 1:9 inches twist in the M&P 5.7. Weight unloaded is 22 oz. The magazine capacity for the M&P 22 Magnum is 30 rounds, plus one in the chamber, matching that of the PMR-30. The grip is designed to be as slim as possible to compensate for the length from backstrap to front strap. This length is necessary given the dimensions of the .22 Magnum cartridge. This pistol is new in the box and comes with two 30-round magazines.
