Description:
This is a very fine pistol made in Naples in the early to mid 1800s. It features a full barrel length stock with a steel mounted tapered down fore end that hides a ram rod, a feature typical of Neapolitan gun makers. Barrel is over 10 " in length and is half octagonal half round. Hammer is finely chiseled in a dog's head shape. Silver butt plate has a medieval looking face that you most commonly find in Gothic architechture facades in Europe. All steel mounts are finely chiseled. Barrel has an abbreviated makers mark that reads " R.F. DI NAP." ( Napoli/ Naples). Action works with a two step hammer. No license needed to buy except NJ residents.
