AWESOME REMINGTON ZOUAVE, "HARPER'S FERRY PATTERN" CAL. .58, 33" BARREL, MFG. 1863. WITH LESS THAN 12,500. MADE THE CONDITION OF THIS RARE LITTLE-KNOWN "ZOUAVE" IS OUTSTANDING. THE BARREL AND HAMMER HAVE RETAINED ABOUT 65% OF THE ORIGINAL FACTORY FINISH. THE LOCK PLATE IS PRETTY MUCH IN THE WHITE AND IS DEVOID OF ANY RUST OR PITTING. THE BRASS BARREL BANDS AND TRIGGER GUARD ARE QUITE BRIGHT AS IS SHOWN WITH NO NICKS OR SCRATCHES. THE BARREL HAS THE MFG. DATE AND ALL THE PROPER IN'PECTOR'S STAMPS**. THE UNUSUAL PATCHBOX STILL CONTAINS THE ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT NIPPLE. THE BORE IS NICE WITH WELL-DEFINED RIFLING AND LIGHT SCATTERED FROST. THE STOCK HAS RETAINED ABOUT 85+% OF THE ORIGINAL FINISH. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL NICKS AND SCRATCHES, BUT NO DINGS, SPLITS, OR MISSING SLIVERS. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL MILITARY CARTOUCHE. IT COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL CLEANING ROD.
