Here's a rare bird in excellent mechanical condition. Great bore with no pitting. Dual tone magazine. There is no pitting on the gun, just finish wear mottling. One of about a thousand issued to the navy. Brunner's book has the serial number range this falls in plus the letter from Colt. This one was not sent back to Colt for modifications as there is no M prefix on the serial number. In my opinion, this indicates it was likely issued to an admiral or Marine Corps general, however there is no name attached to Colt records or Brunner's book. Last navy 1908 I saw sold for 7400.00 (Google) 6999.00 OBO
