Description:
This is dagger is 7 3/8ths inches long in the scabbard. The scabbard fittings are either solid nickel silver or plated and have toned with age. The blade shows a very slight age patina at the throat/lower cross guard and appears to have been in the scabbard almost from manufacture. The chain appears to be zinx and had a silver finish, this as still present in the recesses and some protected areas. Runes and skull are well articulated and the SS proof is stamped into the correct link as shown. Crossgrain on the blade is clear and motto is etched into the blade as well otherwise unmarked. Handle appears to be black painted wood. I have owned Heer minature daggers and seen SA and other Minatures but this is the first original chained SS minature I have seen or owned.
