Description:
This is an original WWI German Sniper scope. The scope was made by the German firm of Voightlander in Braunschweig. It is a 3 power (3x) marked scope. The scope is marked on the right rear side with the firm name, city and power. It is also marked "25014" serial numer on the rear left side. It is also marked on the bottom of the tube 13. The scope is mounted in a Redfield one piece rail with rings. The overall condition of the scope is very good to excellent, having most of the original bluing with a few light patches of wear. The scope is free of dents or dings with only one small scratch on the eyepiece bell. The objective bell is painted black and retains 70% coverage with the brass coming through on the remaining surfaces. The fully functioning elevation tower is complete with its set screw, it shows almost all brass with traces of the black paint. The optical picture is bright and clear with no chips and a few light scratches and some age soil but nothing to impact a nice view through the scope. It has the classic German #1 sniper reticle. Cool Vintage piece.;
