Description:
With a 65 cal.,and a 12 3/8” part round part octagon smooth bore barrel with an oxidized and pitted bore. The barrel has heavy oxidation with pitting and handling showing later added varnish while the lock is smoky gray with oxidation blemishes. The one-piece walnut stock rates good as lightly cleaned with added varnish showing moderate handling marks and dents. The brass flared buttcap has light accent engraving and features a pair of extension on each side of the grip and rates good overall. The brass triggerguard has an extended tang ending in a finial with a pineapple extension in the front and rates good also. The ramrod finials and side plate are brass with a decorative brass plate on the backstrap. The lock may be a replacement and is marked “K&C” and appears to function mechanically, with the frkizzen showerng profuse sparks.
