The item for sale is a rifle having belonged to the late Ben Johnson at the time of his death. The rifle is a Springfield Krag-Jorgenson chambered for the 30-40 Krag cartridge.
Ben Johnson was the "real deal". He was a cowboy who became an Academy Award winner. He was not just another Hollywood actor that the studios tried to make into a cowboy. He had much fame and success in his life ; Academy Award, World Roping Championship and appeared in over 300 movies.
