Description:
This high-end bolt action chassis rifle is a Daniel Defense Delta 5 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. The Daniel Defense Delta 5 is a rifle that offers custom-style features and performance, direct from the factory. The cold-hammer forged barrel, chamber, bore and contour are made at the same time, resulting in greater accuracy and shootability. The Area 419 Universal ARCALOCK Rail and self-timing Hellfire muzzle brake are features you would expect on a premium rifle. The synthetic stock includes 12 integral M-Lok slots for mounting accessories (two on each side of the fore-end and seven at its bottom, one on the toe of the stock) as well as three female QD sling attachment points. A nearly vertical grip is ideally suited for prone, bipod or benchrest use. The grip is ergonomically contoured and melds into a 1.13-inch thick buttstock that also reflects Daniel Defense's own design. It features a cheekpiece that can be adjusted for height and angle and locked in with ease. The length of pull measures 13¾ inches, but that can be adjusted by installing extra shims that come with the rifle. The receiver's ejection port is large for snag-free ejection of fired cases, and the bolt body is 0.69 inch in diameter. It has a rotating bolt head with three locking lugs, and the locking lugs are 0.87 inch in diameter. The bolt has a Sako-style extractor and a plunger-type ejector. Bolt throw is 60 degrees, and the bolt-handle knob is removable. The ambidextrous magazine release is cleverly located at the bottom of the trigger guard. The Delta 5 comes with Timney's Elite Hunter trigger that is adjustable from 1.4 to 4.5 pounds. A two-position safety rides along the right side of the tang, and the action can be cycled with the safety engaged. It comes with a Daniel Defense branded hard vinyl, padded case. 6.5 Creedmoor
