Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are right proud to offer this fine example of Winchester's very first semiautomatic rifle, the model 1903. Designed by Winchester's own T.C. Johnson, it was also the basis for the trio of centerfire to follow. This one is the deluxe version, with nicely figured walnut, checkering, and a capped pistol grip. Made in the year of our Lord 1908, she is in good condition for being 115 years old. The blue has drifted to patina, and has blotchy areas on barrel and receiver. The wood is very good, with minor handling marks, and fairly crisp checkering. The bore of the 20 inch barrel is mostly good, with a few areas of pitting, which is common in this model. The stampings are all quite good, telling me she received good care. These little semi autos have always been in demand, with the few deluxe models really getting the attention of collectors. If you have been looking for the right '03 to collect, or for investment, but want the added clout of the deluxe, then look no further.
