The Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle is a Gunsite approved lightweight and durable bolt-action rifle that is useful in a variety of scenarios. It includes a built-in forward-mounted Picatinny rail for modern optics mounting as well as patented scope mounts machined directly on the solid-steel receiver for a stable scope mounting surface. The soft rubber buttpad and buttpad spacers aid in proper sizing and reduced felt recoil while the non-rotating Mauser-type feed extractor offers reliable positive extraction. Dependable and versatile the Gunsite Scout Rifle is available with a synthetic or laminated wood stock in a number of different calibers and is suitable for a plethora of uses.

Stainless steel models include a muzzle thread protector.
