Description:
Unusual to find a WR sidelock, and this one has even more unusual "art deco" engraving. Restored in England w beautiful fresh finish on barrels, toplever and trigger bow. 28x2 5/8" NP steel bbls, recent (well 1978) reproof at 740" choked .015 (light mod) and .035 (full), min walls about 35 thou either side. Action is brushed bright w. a tiny amount of pinprick pitting, recently rejointed. Ejectors. Sound wood, no repairs to buttstock, old splice repair to edge of forend, freshly refinished buttstock, 14.5" lop through lined butt. Drops 1.5" and 2", 3/8" cast off, 6 1/4 lbs. Cased in a brass cornered period leather case, in decent condition.
