Description:
Iconic and unusual double rifle made for the Maharana of Udaipur. It's a full sidelock single trigger Jones UL rifle with ejectors with a svelte profile and fluted fences. Fully engraved with fine English scroll and cased in a new good quality modern case with new English Parker Hale cleaning rod, brush and jag. Barrels are steel, chopper lump, 26" with excellent bores, chambered and proofed for the powerful (140 grain) BP loading w 325 gr bullet, one of the few BP calibers considered buffalo-worthy. RIfle has been restored and restocked to a very high standard, 1.5", 2.5", 14.5" through the original checkered and spurred steel buttplate. 9.5 lbs, pleasant to carry.
