Description:
Handsome Compact Big Banger with distinctive yellowish factory laminated stock (20 yrs ahead of its time). The 660's were an improved version of the earlier 600's and 600 mags (also scarce). both of which now have a sort of cult following. Only 38" long and well under 7 lbs chambered in potent 350 Rem Mag it is an ideal gun for the largest game including Moose, Elk and all bears. Made only from 1968 to 1971 and only a few over 5000 were chambered in mag cals (either 6.5 or 350 Rem). The barrel lengh was increased from the 18'" on the 660's to 20" , the distinctive black forend tip was added to the stock as was the black pg cap with white diamond.
This gun is a beauty. There are several compression marks in the hard rkw finish with one scratch on the left side having penetrated the finish but it is still quite good looking while the blue is near 100% . The plastic t. guards are known for warping however this one is approx perfect. These were also known to be quite accurate. Sights removed (but may be found from many sources) to provide for scope clearance however scope and sights had been removed prior to it coming to us.
