SN: 445207. Made in 1914 by Koishikawa Arsenal with a 31.4-inch barrel chambered for the 6.5x50mmSR cartridge. Overall good condition with a dark bore that has strong rifling & a stock with only light handling wear. The handguard matches the stock in both color & condition. This is a ""school marked"" Type 38 rifle with a ring of small circles obscuring the chrysanthemum to indicate that the rifle no longer belonged to the Imperial Japanese Army. Comes with a 28-inch cleaning rod.
