American Machine Works, Springfield, Mass. production with address on frame as well as “POULTNEY & TRIMBLE/BALTIMORE U.S.A.”. 22” octagon/round .50 cal. barrel. Serial numbered in the four digit 5xxx range and all matching and early war first year production. Brilliant in every respect with 98-99% original blue and bright case colors. Even the trigger and screws have all the blue. Stock and forend with all the original finish and two mint Ordnance Inspector’s cartouches. Perfect as new working order. Bore looks as new. Best one we have ever had.
