Beautiful engraved Colt 1851 Navy manufactured in 1863. This Colt is in the standard.36 caliber and is a complete working revolver. The engraving was done by Master Engraver Sean McVickers. McVickers is from Ireland and immigrated to the United States in 1978 to study western style engraving. He has been recognized by the Texas Rangers, Gene Autry Museum, United States Marine Corps, and the NRA. His attention to detail is amazing with traditional scroll work. As you can see from scenes and real Ivory grips it has TEXAS theme all over it. It is unknown if the Colt was originally nickeled because the serial number range is outside of the records that Colt has on 51 Navys. Nevertheless this piece is a work of art and would enhance anyone’s collection! It does have a very nice display box as well. Mc Vickers is from Harker Heights Texas.
