Description:
Scarce "LE PETIT PROTECTOR" cased percussion ring pistol. Circa early 1870's, French manufacture for the English market, in excellent condition overall. Hammer, trigger, spring are all exhibiting original fire-blue finish. Neatly engraved around the outer ring "LE PETIT PROTECTOR", along with some vine engraving. Mechanics are excellent. Housed in its original maroon leatherette jewelry box case, in fine+ condition overall, blue velvet and satin lined. The inside lid is in gold script, clear Winsor Bishop Goldsmith's name. The case closes securely and has a silver oval metal tag on the lid "LE PETIT PROTECTOR". Accompanied by (2) 2mm round shot. Quite a unique firearm to say the least.
