Description:
Serial #452927, .455 Webley, 7 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome, matching numbered revolver that retains 97-98% of an added, Webley blue finish , with some trace silvering along the raised edges and projections. The revolver was most likely refinished in England and possibly by the factory. The topstrap is marked "'WS' TARGET MODEL" on the left side, "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD. BIRMINGHAM & LONDON" on the barrel rib, with the Webley & Scott "Winged Bullet" and "football" trademark on the left side of the frame. The cylinder has crisp Birmingham proof stamps, and the barrel assembly has the fairly rare lightening cuts below the barrel on both sides. The checkered walnut grips are in excellent condition with only a few minor handling marks and small blemishes. The lock-up is solid and tight and the action functions flawlessly with a light, target trigger pull. This is a very nice WS Target revolver, and rates fine condition overall. FFL or C&R;
