One of the first things you’ll notice about the Modern Precision Rifle is its signature Christensen Arms carbon fiber barrel. We created the world’s first carbon fiber rifle barrel back in 1995, and we’ve been perfecting the design ever since. The MPR’s barrel starts with 416R Stainless Steel, which we contour down and wrap with aerograde quality carbon fiber in a multi-directional pattern. The end result is a barrel that’s 4 times stronger than steel and extremely long-lasting. Our barrels are exceptionally strong and rigid, creating excellent heat dissipation, barrel harmonics, and, of course, accuracy. Additionally, the adjustable stainless steel side baffle muzzle brake does a terrific job managing felt recoil, even in large calibers.
