Description:
Pretty nice gun overall, function is as it should be, locks up perfectly with little to no cylinder wiggle, bore and chambers look nearly new. The finish is the hi polish very dark blue finish, (as opposed by the more rough military finish on the us marked guns) checkered grips in excellent condition and the 180,xxx serial is toward the end of production and correct time frame. There a couple of dings in the barrel finish and a very small area of barrel blue wear just forward of the cylinder- also has the cylinder ring but just superficial- cannot be felt with a fingernail. Very small commercial production numbers, about 1200 compared to the military production of the 1917 by s&w. All matchng numbers, barrel, frame, cylinder, star, unserialed grips, appear original to the gun.
Lots of pictures to show the detail of this original condition gun- no modifications noted. Need FFL or C&R and certified funds for immediate shipment- business and personal checks wait a week to clear. Sorry no credit cards- etc- anymore. Insured shipping is $50 to lower 48 btw- this gun uses the half moon clips (3rd)or full moon clips (6rd) with 45acp or the 45 auto rimmed ctg without the clips.
