Up for is a 100% new in-the-box, pair of 5 1/2", 45 Colt, 3rd Generation Colt Single Action Army's. This extremely rare pair is dubbed the "Fire & Ice Collection". These pistols are the holy grail of consecutive Colts, with one pistol wearing a color case frame and hammer and charcoal blue finish and the second consecutive pistol having a bright nickel finish. Both pistols have fire blue screws that have been Qualified. In addition, both pistols have a custom action job from the factory. These pistols are new in the box with Colt Custom Shop letters stating their configuration.
As many Single Action Colt collectors know, Colt hasn't Color Case Hardened a hammer since the first generation guns were built. All 2nd and 3rd Gen SAA's have blue hammers with no finish on the sides. This blue pistol is very unique in that 1) The hammer is color-cased hardened 2) the color case hardening is significantly better than previous 2nd/3rd gen models, rumored to have been completed at Turnbull 3) the blue is not royal blue but Charcoal Blue, a premium finish which is a special request only that the Colt Custom Shop.
