Description:
Offered for sale is a 1 of 500 Belgian manufactured superposed Centennial set in 20 gauge and 30/06. This set served me well when jump shooting in the river bottoms of eastern Montana for pheasants and whitetail deer where I have taken many trophies and enjoyed many good memories. The stock shows excellent grain and color. The wood shows some field wear in the form of a small chip on the shnabel forend, a small thin crack at the juncture of the wood and the metal of the .30-06 forend at the action, and some wear on the left side of the buttstock. Metal finish is 99%. The plastic buttplate has been replaced by a quality custom leather covered pad. The set is cased in a walnut case that is lined with red fabric. The piece was hand engraved at the FN factory with a gold inlayed elk on one side of the action and a gold inlayed quail on the other side.
A quality set for bird or big game. A superlight 20 ga would sell for this price, without the case or .30-06 barrels.
Life is too short to hunt with an ugly gun.
