Description:
This is a British M1853 Socket Bayonet for use with the Enfield, Snider, Martini rifles. This bayonet is in very good+ original condition with bright finish 17.5" blade with many signs of use with a bit of mottling and nice tip. The ricasso carries E over Crown over 25 and no other marks. The 3" socket is also very good with dings and signs of use. The scabbard is in excellent condition with early configuration marked 2984 & 98. Over-all a very nice example. Please see photos for finer details.
