A Factory Original Remington 760 Carbine in the hard hitting .35 Rem Caliber. The 181/2" barrel is marked CARBINE on the left side chamber area.The bore has great rifling and mirror shiny. There is one Factory magazine marked 35-REM.The blue is rated at 95% with the exception of two small bare spots on the right side receiver. A very light fine scratch is barely visible on the left side receiver with some very light freckling. There is some normal wear on the pump guide below the barrel as well. The carry area on receiver bottom,trigger guard and magazine have no wear what so ever. The entire blueing is about perfect with the exception of that mentioned.(Refer To Pictures) The wood is also about excellent rated at 94% with some minor finish wear and a few scuff marks.The shellac finish is still covering the edge of the butt plate indicating original finish intact. The metal butt plate itself is checkered with Remington name and perfect in condition.There are no extra holes or cracks in the wood.The wood has a press checkered Wing Pattern on the rear stock pistol grip area only offered from 1964 - 1967. During this time period a very limited amount of 760's were manufactured in .35 Rem Carbine Configuration with the Wing Pattern Checkering. Over one million 760 firearms were manufactured from 1952 -1980 and only about 3% were in .35 Rem Caliber. Records show slightly over 450 of these rare Carbines were produced. This particular Carbine being offered has a Date Code of BN indicating a Manufacture date of 1966 with serial number 455147.
