Description:
This Mauser Luger was made in West Germany under contract with and imported by Interarms, Alexandria, VA.  It was patterned after the Swiss 1929 Luger vice the German P08 Luger; notice the straight front strap of the grip vice the bulge of the grip bottom as on the German P08.  The pistol is chambered in 7.62mm (aka .30 Luger) and has a 6-inch barrel.  The date of manufacture is 1970 or 1971.

The gun is marked on the top of the barrel, about ¾ inch forward of the chamber, with “.30 Luger”.  Also on top of the barrel, about ¼ inch forward of the chamber, is the Mauser’s commercial proof – FBM in an oval; FBM is Freiwilliger Beschuß Mauser.  The serial number of the pistol is stamped on the right side of the receiver, just above the extractor/ejector.  Forward of that is the Interarms’ star-burst logo.  Forward of that is stamped “INTERARMS” (first line) and “ALEXANDER, VIRGINIA” (second line).  The serial number is stamped again on the right side of the frame, just above the trigger.  The Mauser’s commercial proof is stamped again on the left side of the frame, just above the locking bolt.  The front strap of the pistol is stamped with “MAUSER-WERKE A.G. Oberndorf a.N.

The overall condition of the pistol itself is 99 percent.  Everything about this gun looks new with a couple minor exceptions – the trigger and locking bolt (two of the five straw-colored parts) show some chipping of the straw color, and the safety lever, another of the five straw-colored parts, shows some discoloration in the straw color, but no chipping.  The bluing is very nice on the entire gun, with one exception - a little less than an inch forward of the chamber, there is a 1/3-inch blemish on the right side of the barrel and extending toward the top of the barrel.  It is smooth to the touch, and it is hard to see except in daylight.  Other than that, the bluing is near perfect.  The wood grips are like new; the checkering is deep and crisp with no marks, discoloration, other any signs of wear.

The pistol comes with one original magazine.  There are no box, papers, or other accessories.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($25) and insurance ($30.65).  Insurance per the USPS is $12.15 for the first $600 of insurance, plus $1.85 for each additional $100 of insurance (rounded up).

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money order, as they are like cash.  I will ship the pistol immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL.  As USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, this purchase will require two USPS money orders.  I will also accept a personal check and other types of money orders, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal.

Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall (not Barboursville Arms).
