Description:
Up for sale we have this stripped receiver and lower tang that came off of a Colt Lightning small frame rifle chambered in .22 Rimfire. This receiver was built in 1902 so it will need to be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer. Has some patina and wear from being over 100 years old but overall this receiver in in sound condition and all the threads are in good shape. The serial numbers match on both the receiver and lower tang. The rampant Colt logo has faded away and is no longer visible. Also, the trigger guard is bent in a little bit but it could be straightened out by a competent metal worker. This would be great to have if you already own a Lightning rifle that needs a receiver or if you want to build a project gun out of this.
