Overall condition is excellent with an even original factory finish across the metal parts that presents only the type of handling wear that is to be expected of a martial shotgun that fought World War II. The perforated steel heat shield has six rows of holes & is equipped with an M1917 bayonet adapter. Marked ""CYL"" on the left side of the barrel & ""U.S."" next to the flaming bomb just above the trigger on the receiver. The buttstock is excellent with only a few insignificant dings, dents & scratches of the type that one expects to see on a military surplus firearm. The initials ""G.H.D."" (Guy H. Drewry) are stamped into the wood on the left side of the buttstock just above the ordnance escutcheon cartouche. The forearm is matching in both color & condition.
