A great old whiskey flask made of pewter. The flask is in very good condition. Likely made in the mid 1800s. It has some very minor scuffs, but no cracks. It is ready to provide a century of service. With the lid on, it measures 5 1/4” X 3” X 1 1/2”.
It is not maker marked. This flask would be ideal for laying on a poker table and used as a “SHINER” to read the cards when dealing to the local sodbusters in a backwater saloon in Iowa, just don’t try it in the likes of Tombstone or Deadwood. That would be sure to get you, TARRED AND FEATHERED AND RUN OUT OF TOWN A RAIL.
