Description:
Serial #8176g, 9mm Para., 5" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a very small amount of freckling within the grooves. This is an "ac 44" coded pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block, with the metal retaining about 90-92% of the original blue that has faded at the muzzle, on the projecting edges, and turned to a plum color on the frame. The pistol is mechanically excellent and functions flawlessly, while the mottled dark brown phenolic resin grips are in fine shape with only minor wear and negligible surface scratches present on either panel. Both panels are scratched with a previous owner’s name, "BOB CARINI" on the interior. The pistol comes with a single Waffenamt marked magazine which matches the condition of the pistol, and is housed in post-war black leather holster. This is a very nice, wartime P.38 that lis in fine-near excellent overall condition. FFL or C&R
