The photo set shows the metal condition well. This revolver is well handled with rough side plates behind the cyclider. The finish has patina and there is about 60% of the original blue/black finish. The bore on the other hand is very good. It was difficult to image the bore but I have loaded the images I was able to acquire. The bore is bright and has sharp rifling. Although the images appear to show some defect in the bore there is no rust or pitting. This is one of a shipment of 650 New Service revolvers sent to "Government of Puerto Rico" on March 18, 1936. Peurto Rico at this time was going through some political unrest to say the least. BACKROUND HISTORY TO THIS GUN SHIPMENT “In 1936, Albizu Campos was jailed along with other Nationalist leaders on conspiracy and sedition charges. His jailing led to protests across Puerto Rico. On Palm Sunday, March 21, 1937, police shot and killed 21 Puerto Ricans and wounded over 200 others taking part in a peaceful march to protest Albizu Campos’ imprisonment. The event became known as the Ponce massacre.” No Sales to residents of the state of Illinois Shipping to FFL only at cost of $40 to be paid by buyer.
