Full custom left hand .338 Winchester Magnum by Sterling Davenport, Tuscon built on a Winchester Model 70 Classic action with a 24" barrel with a high vis island front sight, a banded sling stud, and a sleeved rear express sight with one standing and two folding leaves. The Winchester Model 70 Classic action has been fitted with Blackburn drop box bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release. Bolt and extractor are jeweled. Stocked in a gorgeous piece of dark Turkish Walnut in the American Classic style with a shadow line cheekpiece, two screw inletted rear sling stud, skeleton grip cap, forward crossbolt. and ebony forend tip, The point pattern checkering is immaculate and is up and over on the grip and wraps the forend.

This is an outstanding piece from a renown gunmaker. Mr. Davenport was an avid hunter as well as a charter member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. He is now retired and no longer building guns of this quality. This rifle is in nearly new condition with only the slightest of handling marks. It has never been scoped and obviously has never been hunted. It has great eye appeal with darkly contasting mineral streaks in the stock as well as a bit of fiddleback figure at the action and barrel shank. It is built the way a custom rifle should be!
