Model 70 Custom Working Rifle by Roger Ferrell from Fayetteville, Georgia, Mr. Ferrell is a top notch custom gun maker that stands with the best, Several years ago we had a Low Wall Full Custom wood stock he did and it was superb, He doesn't need to take a back seat to anybody; He can do it all on metal, wood and his custom octagon barrels, This piece started life as factory post-64 Model 70 in 338 Win. Mag. with a controlled round feed claw extractor, Roger than added a Hart 338 barrel that was never shot by the owner (This barrel goes with the gun), The owner than had Roger add a 24" 7mm Rem. Mag. Bartlein single-point cut rifled barrel that will produce 3-shot 3/4" groups with factory 160 grain ammo, Scoped with a Toric UHD (Ultra High Definition) 30mm 2.5-15X44 SFP (Second Focal Plane) Illuminated BDC reticle hunting scope, Leupold bases and rings, Model 70 3-position safety, Straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, Timney trigger, McMillan stock, Picatinny rail mounted ahead of the forward sling eye, 13 5/8" lop over a 1" Decelerator pad, 10 lbs. 11 oz. with the scope, The bore is new, The overall condition on both metal and stock is 99% since built as a custom. The owner had it built to shoot accurately over long- distances. If you want it, it comes with the 338 Win. Mag. Hart barrel. If you are a handloader you can get it with Redding bench rest dies and a bunch of brass.
