Description:
Serial #517276, .30-06, 26" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This handsome rifle has a 12-18 dated, "W" marked barrel and retains 97-98% of the matte blue finish, with only some trace silvering at the muzzle, along a few of the high and projecting edges, and on some of the bearing surfaces of the all-Winchester bolt. Some minor fading is also present on the bolt handle, and on the front and rear sight protectors. The "W" marked walnut stock has an excellent, reapplied military oil finish with small handling marks scattered about, and no visible cartouche. This is a fantastic-looking Model 1917 that received a matte blue finish in the interwar period, and rates excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
