It is one of the earliest examples of the reintroduced for 1972 model 1895, Marlin used barrels from Douglas barrels on these exaples, prior to them switching to the micro groove rifling, these examples will shoot cast bullets better than the later micro grooved rifles. The Bore is excellent on this example, and retains almost all of its original bluing. there are a couple of digs on the forend where the finish has been scratched off. Please See Pictures.
