Description:
An Antique Italian Leather Playing Cards Case with Micro Beaded Top. Measures 2 7/8” x 3 7/8”, with embossed gilt border.
The beadwork design is created using miniature glass beads. The main feature of this case is this fabulous micro beading, inset on the top. It shows 3 Aces, Clubs, Hearts, and Spades.
The gilded floral design around the edges frames the beadwork.  It has only very minor wear, and you will have to look very closely to see it. If you do look very close you maybe able to see the fine thread that was used to lace these beads together. What an unusual pretty card box, could date from the Regency era which spanned the years 1811, to 1837. This is an Elegant Playing Card Box to house a single deck. I believe this was a custom made commission piece to be and eye catcher for a real Gent or Lady. An unusual box that has survived the centuries. Any gentleman can just imagine the envious looks when you produce this case from your inside frock coat pocket. Or perhaps the only lady at the table reaches in her reticule to draw her  tiny engrave revolver and this case comes tumbling out.
Cards are included, the other collectables are not included
