Description:
Offered is a very nice Winchester 1873 Rimfire Rifle in .22 Short. The rifle is in original condition and retains aprox. 80% of the original blue finish over all metal surfaces. The walnut stock and forend are free of chips, cracks and chips, but exibit the handling marks normally expected with a gun of this age. The steel butt plate shows extensive but light pitting. The barrel is octagon 24" in length and exibits some loss of rifling over the entire length.
The sites are a standard Buckhorn adjustable rear, a 1/4" front blade and a Marblels target peep on the tang. The serial number is 559315 B giving a manufacturing date of 1901.
This rifle is in excellent condition and will make an exceptional addition to any Winchester collection.
