S&W Model 19-5 357 magnum Combat Magnum 2 1/2 inch barrel w/hard rubber grips on a round-butt model, circa 1986. This tight good-shooting 357 was carried years by a detective with mainly .38 Special rounds fired for qualification, then 357 rounds carried on duty. I carried it for protection in bear-country for years ago, had one walk right our tents, but never bothered anyone - I felt safe.
The small dings on one area of the cylinder do not affect shooting or accuracy in any way. The cyclinder turnsand locks perfectly; as tight as when new. The action is super smooth with a crisp trigger. This was built when S&W took pride in quality, and it shows.

Not sure how the small tiny dings on the cylinder got there, but don't effect performance,. Not rea noticable, but when spotted just look kinda' gnarly.
NOTE: Correction, thanks to keen eyed viewer, had it marked as a 3 inch as everyone I knw called it that, measured it and it is exactly a 2 and 1/2 inch barrel. For some reason, I can't change or delete the original TITLE? Not a 3 inch!
There is a small orange spot directly under the rear sight at the end of the upper frame, and directly behind the cylinder release, these are not rust spots, the blue turned this color, there is no rust, pitting, or uneven surfaces.
