S&W Model 19-5 357 magnum Combat Magnum 3 inch barrel w/hard rubber grips. This is a well-used but tight shooting 357 carried by a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department detective for years. Unfortunately, over the years of duty service it has sustained several dings on the cylinder, does not affect the pistols performance. Each quarter a box of 50 38 Special rounds were fired in it for qualification, it has not had many 357 rounds put through it, still shoots perfectly.
This won’t make it a rare piece, but I bought it from the original owner and carried it myself for over 20 years in the yhid department until I retired as Undersheriff of the Valencia County Sheriff’s Department years ago. Most undercover officers carried a Chief’s Specials or other snub nosed 38 Special handgun. Anyone who was fortunate enough to find these 357 snub nosed S&W’s were the envy of the department. This served me well, but time for a new owner who appreciates fine handguns.
My camera seemed to pick up every small spot on this six shooter, and it looks a whole lot better than the photos show.
