White Oak Armament Details
White Oak Armament Match Rifle Uppers have all the features needed for the HP competitor without the compromises of mass produced uppers or the steep price of a custom one. The 24" or 26" barrel is turned from a match grade Wilson 1:8 twist blank. The precision chamber is ideally suited to across-the-course high-power competition. The fore-end is machined to accept high quality Aunschutz accessories, as well as most American style hand-stops.
PICTURE NOTE: Match Rifle Uppers are ONLY available in black. The green handguard shown, as well as other colors, have been discontinued.
Available with either a 24-inch or 26-inch barrel.
The 26-inch upper is designed for the shooter who is using open sights, with the last 1.5" of the barrel turned to .750" diameter for mounting a front sight base. The 26 inch barrel also has our modified gas which is 2" longer than standard rifle length. This delays the unlocking of the bolt which reduces the stress on your brass, aids in longer case life, and also helps ensure proper functioning with heavier bullets and slow burning powders in a long barrel.
The 24-inch upper is suited to a shooter who has switched to optics. The 24" barrel does not have the .750" tenon and is turned to a heavy profile all the way to the end of the muzzle. This barrels has a standard rifle length gas system which is well suited to the 24 inch 223/556 barrel.
The barrels are a full 1" diameter under the handguard and .875" at the gas block. The muzzle is finished with an 11 degree target crown.
OPTIONAL BOLT HANDLE MODIFICATION ($125 upcharge) - If you are using your Match Rifle Upper with our White Oak Precision 6-way Adjustable Buttstock or other buttstock which an elevated cheekpiece that may interfere with the rear charging handle, then our Bolt Handle Modification may be necessary.
