Offered for sale is an “as new”, beautiful, light, Franchi Veloce Squire Limited 20/28ga shotgun, part of the exclusive Benelli World Class collection. Made in Italy and only imported from 2003-2005. The 20ga sports 27 ½ inch barrels and the 28ga 26-inch barrels. With the 20ga. weighing only 5lbs. 13oz., and the 28ga. 6lbs. and 1oz., it is fast handling and lives up to its Italian name “Veloce”. The blued, chrome-lined barrels are threaded for interchangeable choke tubes, with improved cylinder, modified and full tubes supplied for both gauges. The barrels also feature ventilated ribs with a white front bead and are chambered at 2 ¾ inches for the 28ga. and 3 inches for the 20ga. This aluminum framed boxlock features a jeweled monobloc receiver, automatic ejectors, a tang mounted auto safety/barrel selector and a filigreed top lever accented with scroll engraving. This Franchi features a gold, single selective, mechanical trigger with a checkered face. The engraved, gold accented receiver showcases ornate scroll engraving with grouse in flight on both the right and left sides. The bottom of the receiver features a gold dove in flight and the word “Limited” in gold along with a scroll engraved trigger guard. The forend iron is also nicely engraved.
The Prince of Wales stock is made of nicely figured satin-finished walnut and is accompanied with a two Schnabel forearms, one for each gauge. The stock has a 14 1/2” length-of-pull and is fitted with a factory rubber Franchi butt pad. A green fitted hard case protects this beautiful combination shotgun to and from the field. This is altogether a great gun for collection, hunting or taking to the range.
