EXHIBITION GRADE TURKISH WALNUT SHOTGUN OR RIFLE BUTT STOCK AND FOREND.
In the wood world EXHIBITION GRADE is the most overused term in the dictionary. If you judge by all other pieces using the term then this blank would be what I call "EMPOROR GRADE". It has it all, marbling , fiddleback , crotch, with a very desirable natural warm reddish tone but still dark and somewhat conservative. Perfectly matched from side to side. WOW. Suitable for the most fabulous firearm. This blank was cut and air dried since the late 1980's. The buttstock measures 18.5x 6.4 x 3.5 at the head. Thickness is 2.37 inches.
Forend option one ( fancy) is 13 x 2.5 x 2.250 x 2.5 inches. Option # 2 is ( conservative) is 15 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches. This stock will not work for most competion shotgun stocks. ( too small top to bottom at head of stock )
