Chambered in the formidable 12 gauge 2.75" caliber and choked to full, the Model 37 Featherlight boasts a capacity of 3+1 rounds, making it a formidable choice for any shooting endeavor. Its 30-inch barrel, adorned with a mid silver bead and white front bead over a vent rib, ensures precise aim and smooth operation.
Produced in 1973, this shotgun is a true work of art, featuring a coin-finished receiver adorned with exquisite engraving by the renowned artist Anthony (Tony) Toscano. The right side of the receiver showcases a captivating wetlands scene, with a fox pouncing on a flushing duck, surrounded by intricate scrollwork. On the left side, a woodlands scene depicts two English setters pointing at a pair of ring-neck pheasants, further enhanced by delicate scroll and vine motifs. The top of the frame features vignettes of grouse, running rabbits, and a squirrel, all surrounded by scrollwork and geometric borders. The underside and trigger guard are engraved in matching scrolls and borders, while the chamber and attaching lug feature additional engraving.
The blue-finished barrel retains 98% of its original finish, with a bright bore and properly operating action. The highly figured American Claro walnut stock and matching checkered forearm exhibit a custom-applied oil finish, adding to the shotgun's allure. Completing the ensemble is an unmarked solid recoil pad, ensuring comfort and stability during shooting sessions.
