Proved for 2-1/2" cartridges and choked improved cylinder & improved modified. The rib is roll marked 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON.' & 'MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESS STEEL'. The patina case color hardened finished action body and lockplates are adorned with traditional bouquets and scroll engraving.
