Description:
American Arms Derby 28 ga. SXS true sidelock, double triggers, made by Francisco. Sarriugarte, Elgoibar, Spain. Marked BEST on the watertable; proofed in Eibar; checkered butt with silver initial oval inlay (blank); ejectors. Special order sidelock originally purchased from Bill Hanus for those who remember his Bird Gun company; I am the original owner. In excellent condition in a compact locking gun case by Jeff's Outfitters with silver oil can and dry firing cartridges.
It does have a very small chip on the toe, which could be sanded, rounded out, but I haven't touched it, leaving it to the real craftsmen. Otherwise no significant handling marks.
Bored Skeet 1 and Skeet 2, making it a fine quail, dove and pointed pheasant gun. I used it for doves, rails and quail, rarely more than a couple of times a year.
