Description:
This is a fine German combination gun by the legendary Krieghoff gunmakers. Rifle caliber is 7X57R which is a rimmed version of the 7mm Mauser. The shotgun barrel is the versatile 16 gauge, which can be loaded down to light 20 or up to medium 12 gauge levels, while still keeping a slim receiver. Choked .024" standard 2 3/4" chamber.
The gun has a Dural receiver and weighs 6# 1oz on my postal scale. (Less scope) It has fine hand scroll engraving. Also has the features you would expect from Krieghoff, like cocking indicators, adjustable set trigger on the rifle, Buffalo horn trigger guard, claw mounted Hensoldt diavari 1.5-6x scope in claw mounts, with post reticle. Clear optics. missing the windage cap.
barrels are 24 7/8" long LOP is 13 7/8" over a recoil pad that is hard and needs replacing. Good opportunity to customize the lop to your specs. This gun came from the estate of an old German guy and has been in the safe over 30 years.
It locks up tight as a bank vault. Has dual extractors. Folding rear sight.
Gun feels like it's been shot very little.
bluing is 98%. Stock has numerous handling marks. A couple small dings on the cheek rest. Slight cast off for right handed shooter.
These are fantastic guns that will be enjoyed for many generations. My wife uses one like this in 6.5 cal that she loves.
I haven't shot this gun, but have shot several like it and they've all been exceptionally accurate. This gun was made in January 1964
