Description:
NSN, .62 Caliber, 14 1/4" barrel with a good, lightly pitted bore. This is an elegant pistol of typical Germanic design, that has an overall bright gray patina with darkly mottled freckling throughout, as well as some spots of pinprick pitting at the breech end, around the touchhole, and within the pan. The lockplate is maker marked, however the name is not legible. The metal does not have any engraving otherwise, but does have several shaped embellishments throughout the metal furniture, especially the ornate pierced sideplate. The pin-fastened walnut stock has small handling marks and minor blemishes scattered about the old oil finish. The bulbous iron buttcap has thin plum-brown freckling, and the rear trigger guard strap is slightly loose. The lock is tight and functions flawlessly, and the original iron ramrod is still present. This is a handsome pistol, and is in very good plus condition overall. Antique
